Man Arrested For Domestic Abuse After Girlfriend Shot in the Head Arrested For the Third Time

A man arrested for domestic assault shortly after his girlfriend was shot in the head earlier this week has been arrested for the third time since the shooting.

Officer Angela Sands says witnesses report 27-year-old Rashaun Jones made terroristic threats toward 25-year old Davonnis Wilkinson about a month ago.

“Witnesses reported observing an argument,” according to Sands, “Jones accused Devonnis of cheating, displayed a handgun, and pointed it at her while yelling.”

Jones was first arrested the night Wilkinson was shot after witnesses reported a domestic assault that occurred earlier in that day. He was arrested a second time on drug charges after a search of the home he shared with Wilkinson uncovered 2.5 ounces of marijuana.

After Monday’s shooting, Wilkinson remains in the hospital in critical condition.
