Drunk Driver Arrested Following Crash That Sent Five, Including Three Children, To the Hospital

A drunk driver has been arrested after a three car crash sent a family of five , including three children, to the hospital.

Lincoln Police says 32-year-old Justin Kowalewski had a Blood Alcohol Content  of over two times the legal limit following the collision near W Van Dorn and Southwest 40th Street Saturday night.

Captain Jake Dilsaver says Kowalewski had run his car into a ditch North of Pioneer’s Park and was getting help from his uncle, who was in his own car, when an Eastbound car is believed to have slid on ice and hit them both. .

Dilsaver says the three children in the struck vehicle and the two adults also hospitalized were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The occupants of the Eastbound were not transported to the hospital.
